View my slide shows which are hosted at the Photodex website. Photodex is the maker of the amazing ProShow Gold & ProShow Producer software packages. They also host (free!) slide shows for anyone to watch. Due to the size of these files, it works best with a high speed internet connection such as DSL or Cable to view these easily. However, the 3 and 5 minute programs can be reasonably viewed on a dial-up connection. If this is your first time to the Photodex site, you may be asked to download a small program called "Presenter". You'll only have to do this once and it is safe. Note: only PCs work here; no Macs. Click on a title below to be taken to the proper link. Enjoy! Fire and Ice: An 11 minute program from my Jan 2008 trip to Yellowstone. This was my 2nd winter adventure there and the landscape continues to amaze me! I traveled with 6 great friends from Grand Junction and my wife Fay. We made all our arrangements thru Xanterra who were great. We chartered our own Snow Coach for the most freedom. Our guide Darla is amazing! Ask for her if you go. Note: the wolf and bear photos were taken at Discovery Center in West Yellowstone The Birds of Bosque: This 15 minute program showcases the Sandhill Cranes, Snow Geese and other birds at Bosque del Apache Refuge in New Mexico. A wonderful place for photographers! Homage to Monet: A 5 minute program featuring Lens Babies; zoom blurs; jerk blurs; slow shutter pans; pinhole; montage and more. Subjects include birds, aspen trees, flowers, Native American Indian dancing and junk yards. Twinkies, ETC: A fun 3 minute show featuring the snack cake, Twinkies! In one of my classes, I made the assignment of shooting a Twinkie and this is what the "students" came up with. Smash Hits: This 5 minute show explores a local salvage yard. Over the years, I always took my Basic 35mm classes there for a field trip. It is a great place to "tune" up your vision, your "seeing". I often went by myself to see what I could see. Great for working on your composition skills! Nihon Postcard: A 15 minute postcard of my impressions of Japan. I had the good fortune to travel there in the spring of 2001. We stayed with several families and had a wonderful time. This was the last major event I shot on film so I had to scan all these slides; yuck! Everyone thinks I meant to type "Nikon", not Nihon. Nihon is the Japanese word for "Japan" and it means literally, "The Sun's Origin", from whence came "Land of the Rising Sun". TIMTORA: Acronym for "There is more than one right answer". In my digital group, I gave everyone the same image. It was a rather ordinary shot of some trees in fall color. I told them to do anything they wanted to the image and this 5 minute program is the result! Botanical Impressions: Our local Botanical Gardens and Butterfly House are 10 years old. I put this program together for their celebration. Several friend contributed images for this 13 minute show. Plane & Simple: A 3 minute program featuring the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson.
